Bed bugs can move between units, between apartments and townhouses, through walls, electrical outlets, and other small openings. They are adept at crawling through tight spaces, and if there are any gaps or cracks, they can travel between units in search of food or shelter. Bed bugs are quite small, typically measuring roughly 6 to 7 mm and about as wide as a pencil. They can squeeze through gaps as small as 1.5 mm.
