Bed bugs are an awful problem to have and hard to find, the bites are often confused with fleas and carpet moth larvae. Bed bugs leave lines of red itchy welts on the skin usually on the upper back and arms. They are most active at night drawn to our breath and heat while we sleep. These blood suckers leave small red/brown colored blood spots on the linens, and stains near the edges and corners of your beds. As they molt you may find exoskeletons / molting skin on your bed or floor. These pests leave pheromones that can be quite stinky, like wet moldy newspaper, when there are a lot of them in an area.
